Classes in initial and primary education will begin this September 16 under distance mode for the 2020-2021 term

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that this Wednesday, September 16, will begin distance classes in initial and primary education throughout Venezuela and from October 1, the educational process, also in virtual form, in high schools and educational centers of secondary and technical education.

“Mothers, parents, representatives, students, teachers, professors, this Wednesday, September 16, the 2020-2021 school year begins amidst the pandemic, it is the best thing, without a doubt”, he explained along with ministers Aristóbulo Istúriz and César Trómpiz.

“For October 1, will begin classes in high schools throughout the country, general, specialized and technical secondary education, on October 1. Thus Venezuela starts its safe school year and we are going to improve all the pedagogical methods stipulated by pedagogues and Ministries in order to support families and students”, added the National President.

He explained that the decision was made after massive consultation with millions of online and real-time surveys. “Support for distance education is very solid, it exceeds 80% of the national opinion that education should be kept at a distance, for now, and thus improve all educational mechanisms”.
