The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced last Friday the capture of a spy of US nationality, who was part of the army of “marines” that has been serving in CIA spy facilities in the military bases of occupation in Iraq, loitering strategic Venezuelan oil facilities in illegal secret operations that point to sabotage and terrorist plans.
“Yesterday we captured an American spy (who was) spying on the Amuay and Cardón refineries in Falcón state, we have photographs, videos”, reported the Head of State during a videoconference with the youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV) for its 12th anniversary of foundation.
The mercenary was seized an arsenal of sophisticated heavy weapons and large amounts of dollars, as well as other items of warfare and espionage. After his red-handed capture, he was passed to the Public Ministry for the judicial investigation that began immediately.
The arrest comes two days after a team of technological engineers, led by the Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, dismantled a plan to explode the El Palito refinery, located in Carabobo state.
The National President announced that with the capture of the spy, the terrorist plan has been dismantled, activating the security forces at 100% to guarantee the physical security of all oil and strategic facilities.
In this sense, he called on the refinery workers to reinforce internal and external security measures in all processes.
Finally, he indicated that in the upcoming days all the details of this event will be offered.
