The various sectors of the Venezuelan opposition are on the path and in acknowledgement of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as was stated on Tuesday by the member of the “Darío Vivas” National Campaign Command, Diosdado Cabello Rondón:
“This is an election that has not only a historical burden, but a burden of conscience, these five years that have passed, with an opposition leading the National Assembly, have been enough to make us see what the extreme right wing is capable of”, he said.
He stated that it is a reason of joy the fact that sectors of the opposition return to the constitutional line:
“And so they once again acknowledge the constitution, our constitution, as well as in 2004 Commander Chávez was leading them down that lane, today they begin to acknowledge this constitution, hopefully their participation in these elections goes beyond putting on their names, but also obeying the rules of the electoral game”, said the leader of PSUV.
He contrasted what is currently happening in other countries and the latest political disqualifications in Bolivia, Ecuador and Brazil.
“And in this Venezuelan (so-called) dictatorship, the doors were opened to all those who wanted to participate, and thus we applaud those opposition parties that dared”.
He indicated that there are more than 100 registered political organizations, which represents more than 14,000 male and female candidates throughout the country.
“It is an active, dynamic and living democracy that exists in Venezuela”.
He made a call to all Venezuelans to join and participate in this upcoming election process, and thus elect the new National Assembly:
“This DEC-6, and as the constitution says, there will be elections, they once again underestimated the people and today in this union of the Great Patriotic Pole we will achieve it, for the interests of the homeland, the call is for the opponents, come on, let’s go together, to change to that National Assembly, we will keep on fighting, the PSUV is under the command of our people”, concluded Cabello.
