Denounced new persecution measures that Washington intends to impose on Venezuela

This Wednesday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, refuted new persecution measures that Washington intends to impose on Venezuela, with which he responded to the pronouncement of the US administration that has been assessing an assail, one of which includes imposing additional sanctions on oil exchanges with Venezuela.

Within the framework of the White House’s offensive against the legitimately constituted Government, the Venezuelan Head of State denounced: “Today they released another information regarding new sanctions, new persecution measures, and we cannot say where we are advancing (in the counteroffensive), where are our armies going, what we have is to take the hill to (…) and free our PDVSA from bureaucracy, corruption and infiltrators, and to advance in cleaning up everything so PDVSA can be the great industry that it has to be, and for it to expand and stand up. We can indeed!”.

The dignitary defended the oil industry before – he said – some people who have launched “critical voices” against PDVSA and against the Alí Rodríguez Araque Presidential Commission, from the left wing, saying that they are against oil policy, and asked them: “Have you noticed the bombing by the imperialism against our industry, the persecution?”

In a conference to promote the Agroproductive Sector of the Eastern Region of the Country and Advancement of the Distribution Vertex of the Great Mission AgroVenezuela, and in which simultaneously the Venezuelan president linked with the Meeting with the Alí Rodríguez Araque Commission that took place in Miraflores, he announced that he will soon meet with the entire team of the oil industry, with all the corresponding biosafety measures, to refine strategies in the matter.

Addressing the Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, and the president of PDVSA, Asdrúbal Chávez, he asked for the full support of the PDVSA working class for the recovery of national industry.

“I ask God, and I ask the working class to make possible the miracle of the recovery and expansion of the Venezuelan oil industry amidst the coronavirus and the coronatrump”, he said.
