Venezuela coordinates supplies with PAHO to combat the pandemic in the country

Venezuela coordinated this Tuesday with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) the supplies the country needs to fight the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic in the nation.

The information was released by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, who indicated that the supplies will be financed with the resources available to the country to fight the pandemic:

«Today, in the company of the Minister for Health @AlvaradoC_Salud (Carlos Alvarado) we connect with the @opsoms team in Washington. We reviewed the projects in progress and the list of supplies needed to face the Covid-19, based on the Venezuelan resources available in this organization”, wrote the Venezuelan Chancellor in his account on the Twitter social network.

On July 30, the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the National Government will dispose of 10 million dollars to be able to expand the requirements before PAHO to combat Covid-19 in the country.

Venezuela accounts – to date – 20,754 infected by Covid-19, after detecting 548 new positive cases on Monday.

Similarly, six new deaths from the virus were registered, bringing the number of fatalities to 180. The number of recovered, meanwhile, already exceed 10,000 people.
