National Dialogue Board addressed the country’s situation in the face of parliamentary elections

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting on Monday with the national dialogue board, on which was addressed the country’s political situation in the face of the parliamentary elections, which will take place this year as established by the Constitution:

“We have had an intense conversation, listening to criticism, proposals, ways forward, a good conversation in private, with all the political parties of the national dialogue board that was installed last year, and which has played a stellar role in this path of peace, and that has given good results to open the floodgates of the widest political participation to elect a new National Assembly”, said the Venezuelan head of state from the Aquiles Nazoa House, in Caracas.

The meeting was held earlier at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

At the meeting participated, on behalf of the National Government, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, the Minister for Communication, Jorge Rodríguez, the Minister for Education, Aristóbulo Istúriz and the Governor of Miranda state, Héctor Rodríguez.

By the Venezuelan opposition, the deputy of the National Assembly, Timoteo Zambrano; as well as politicians Claudio Fermín, Javier Bertucci, Rafael Marin, Luis Romero, Felipe Mujica and Segundo Menéndez.

Among the agreements since from the installation of the National Dialogue Board; is the appointment of the new rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE), in order to convene this year’s elections.
