Threats to shipping companies by the US add to evidence of siege against Venezuela

The threats made by the United States government to the shipping enterprises and any companies that decide to cooperate with Venezuela to solve the fuel situation will join the evidences that the National Government will present against the North American nation before the International Criminal Court (ICC). ), where the South American country has a demand for the coercive measures imposed against the nation.

The information was released by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, in his account on the Twitter social network:

«More actions and confessions of perverse responsibility by Donald Trump government’s on gasoline shortage in Venezuela. They threaten with sanctions against shipping enterprises, ports and insurers that may facilitate gasoline shipments to the country. Evidences for the ICC», wrote the Venezuelan chancellor on the social network.

The message was accompanied by a publication by the Reuters news agency, with statements by Elliot Abrams, in which he threatened foreigners, ports, shipping enterprises and insurers that helped the Iranian tanker fleet that brings fuel to Venezuela.

Since last Saturday, ships that traveled more than 12,000 kilometers began to enter the country’s Exclusive Economic Zone, amidst threats from the United States.

The first to enter were the «Fortune» and «Forest» tankers; while the fifth, «Clavel», is expected to reach Venezuelan coasts on Monday.

All the vessels are being guarded by the Bolivarian Navy and Military Aviation, due to threats by the US Government to prevent their arrival.

The solidarity and self-determination of both nations is developed amid the restrictions, blockade and continued plan of the Donald Trump administration to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro from power.

Trump’s coercive measures have prevented Venezuela from importing diluents for the production of gasoline, seeing a diminishing in its domestic fuel production.
