The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Wednesday the civic-military union that managed to defeat the attempt of a coup d’etat on April 30, 2019, orchestrated by the United States (USA) and led by the right-wing deputy and self-proclaimed “president in charge”, Juan Guaidó.
“The civic, military and police union had a great triumph a year ago,” recalled the head of state in a telephone contact with the “Con el Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer) program.
In this sense, the National President highlighted the fundamental role of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) represented that day a year ago, by the current Minister of Defense, General Vladimir Padrino López, together with the Strategic Operational Command (CEO), under the command of Admiral Remigio Ceballos who coordinated simultaneously with the Bolivarian National militia and the People’s Power.
Likewise, the immediate action of the State’s security agencies on April 30, 2019 was essential, as well as the full support of the Integral Defense Regions (REDI) together with the Integral Defense Zones (ZODI), which in a Civic-Police-Military union, gave lessons of institutional, political, military, ideological and moral strength to the entire world.
«From the civic, military, police union, we have shown that we are for real. Today we meet a year of the show of treason. We had received the first alert call from Minister Reverol. Trying to remind the traitors that they are undeserving any forgiveness, including those who always leave our ranks”, remembered President Maduro one year after the last right-wing attempt for a coup d’etat.
“The traitors always mock the trust, the friendship, they even mock themselves and then they sink, they dry up, because the empire despises and abandons them, just as it happened to the traitors of April 30, 2019”, affirmed President Maduro.
“I remember that already at 4:30 a.m. there were calls, the morning of April 30 was a tragicomic show of treason that forever marked the right-wing opposition. From that day on, the reality was another thing”, sentenced the head of state.
The worker president Nicolás Maduro indicated that these coup actions demonstrated to the world the ambitions for power of a small group of extremist parasites, in this sense he recalled the phrase he held before the Venezuelan population: «Nerves of steel, calm and sanity, and maximum mobilization. There were more than 30,000 people guarding Miraflores Palace”, he recalled.
