President Maduro provided financing for the planting of 1,120,000 hectares in the country

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, delivered this Wednesday resources in Petros to activate 1,120,000 hectares of cereal planting in the country.

The Head of State delivered the resources during the Productive Wednesday work session, along with the Sector Vice President of the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami and the Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, within the framework of the Financing and support for productive development, as part of the actions before COVID-19.

The financing is directed to AgroSur, peasants and private entrepreneurs in the rice, yellow corn and white corn areas.

The National President stressed that “the post-pandemic economic world will have to put its emphasis on the real economy of meeting needs”.

During the broadcast, Minister Castro Soteldo delivered financing in Petros to different producers, among which stands out the Civil Association of Producers “El Trebol”, whose resources will be invested in strengthening production.

President Maduro delivered 80 tractors and agricultural inputs to producers in Lara state in a presidential contact with the Pedro Camejo company, in the metropolitan area of the Palavecino and Iribarren municipalities, where the governor of Lara state, Carmen Meléndez, directed the activity.

“290 Petros is the cost of the tractor to produce the land. The Petro current must be used to face the situation and come forward”, said the president in the financing session on Wednesday.

During the journey was given a start to the Cereals Seeding Plan, winter cycle in Guárico state; as well as the closure of the north summer production cycle and exposure of the agricultural production chain, from the cereal and rice processing plant of Cojedes state and in Portuguesa state was inspected the Venezuelan Corn Industry Pronutricos C.A.

“We must continue to develop and support our diversified national industry. All the supplies that we are going to deliver today come from the sisterly People’s Republic of China. All these inputs are coming directly for production in the winter harvest season”, he added.
