Venezuelan working class debates proposals to strengthen national production

On Thursday, 100 workers and union spokespersons from various companies discussed proposals to strengthen production at the National Meeting of Workers’ Panels for the Productive Political Offensive, which was installed in Caracas, and which will run until Friday.

The Minister of People’s Power for the Social Work Process, Eduardo Piñate, stressed that in this meeting, convened by the Bolivarian Socialist Central of Workers (CBST), have participated 100 worker cadres.

“The working class is the protagonist in economic growth to meet the needs of the country and the people,” he said.

Piñate said that among the 100 participants, 48 are spokesmen and substitutes for the Workers’ Productive Councils (CPT), of the more than 2,000 formed to date throughout the national territory.

He explained that the intention is to execute a productive political planning in order to promote a new model of socialist business management that has concrete expressions in several productive institutions of the State, while indicating that on January 31, several workers’ representatives will present the achievements.
