The Mission Venezuela Bella (Beautiful Venezuela) has carried out so far 2,255 works in 356 spaces in 167 cities throughout the national territory, said on Thursday the president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, about the first anniversary of this government program.
He explained that these works have meant an investment of 156 billion bolivars, favoring 22 million citizens:
“It is a high impact mission, and the second stage is the living living, which integrates communities and the people’s power; they have to be spaces for assemblies, meetings, skating, carnival, the Holy Week, heading to the communal socialist cities”, he explained.
During an act that took place in the Caracas Military Circle, the Head of State explained that of the 2,255 works, it was possible to activate a “modest number” of 1,500 community projects.
Maduro also specified that 109 road maintenance works were carried out, as well as the intervention and recovery of 290 Christian temples. “Never before had been made 290 religious temples”, he said, while guiding to set a goal of recovering 1,500 religious temples.
