The core motivation of the Venezuelan extreme right wing led by the former president of the National Assembly in contempt, Juan Guaidó, is “to quickly obtain funds from the Republic to activate their plans with the US and Colombian government”, an action that is known by the administration of Donald Trump.
This was denounced by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, from Miraflores Palace in Caracas, where he recalled that a year ago in the country there was the most brutal action committed by an imperial power against Venezuela in 150 years, just on the date in which the overthrow of the dictatorship of Marco Pérez Jiménez is historically commemorated.
The Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information also confirmed that the action was due to a regime change operation promoted by the White House, which “chose a nondescript being, elected deputy in a circuit of La Guaira state” to overthrow to the constitutional government.
He explained that from there began the path of disaster, after communication companies, whose editorial line is against the Bolivarian Government, began to show evidence of corruption and began to show plans to seize the goods and assets of the country.
Among the facts, he listed Guaidó’s alliances with the Colombian paramilitary group “Los Rastrojos” in exchange for favors in an eventual government, the idea of surrendering Guyana Essequibo from Venezuela to foreign interests, political excesses, attempts of military attack against the country, assaults to military barracks and theft of arms and ammunition from the Homeland, among others.
He also added that the embezzlement to the nation includes assets of PDVSA abroad, CITGO, Monómeros S.A, among others, in which Guaidó, his family members (father and brother), Carlos Vecchio, Julio Borges, Leopoldo López, etc. are involved.
Rodríguez recalled that in the month of May 2019, the Venezuelan courts acted and were imputed, Juan Planchar and Roberto Marrero, militants of the Voluntad Popular party, for corruption and theft of the assets of Venezuela.
“They already achieved what they wanted. They are millionaires now”, he denounced.
