President Maduro congratulated the new president of Tunisia Kaïs Saied

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, congratulated his counterpart Kaïs Saied, winner of the recent presidential elections in the Republic of Tunisia by a significant margin:
“On behalf of the Venezuelan people, I send a congratulatory hug to the president-elect of Tunisia, Kaïs Saied. The Tunisian people have given an extraordinary demonstration of democratic vocation. From this Bolivarian and Chavista land we send you a greeting in solidarity. Long live Tunisia!» expressed the head of state.
Saied, who has not held any political office, received 72.71 percent of the vote, and his opponent, media mogul Nabil Karoui, won 27.29.
During his campaign, Kaïs Saied promised to review the country’s governance structure to empower young people and local governments.
