
The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged on Tuesday the expansion of the offer of studies in public universities in order to guarantee the inclusion of young people from Latin America and the Caribbean to the Venezuelan education system:
«We must open the number of places and study offers in Venezuela for all our brothers in Latin America and the Caribbean, open the gates and train professionals», he said during a work journey on university education, held at Miraflores Palace
More than 6,783 young people from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Middle East have been favored with the international study program.
Growth and development of the country:
The National President instructed the sector vice president for Territorial Socialism, Aristóbulo Isturiz, and the Minister of People’s Power for University Education, César Trómpiz, to conduct a national consultation that leads to the reorientation of university careers establishing priorities that contribute to the development of the nation.
In that sense, he invited all university professors, student leaders and trade union movements to join this task to evaluate and align the careers to the Plan of Recovery, Growth and Development of the country.
