President Maduro creates a Special Staff to strengthen Humanized Delivery Plan


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, created on Thursday a General Staff to strengthen the National Plan for Humanized Labor and Breastfeeding, which will aim to serve 100% of pregnant women in the country.
During an event to celebrate the second anniversary of the plan, said that this body will be headed by the Minister for Health, Carlos Alvarado, and will integrate the Ministries for Women, for Communes, for Education and Alimentation.
In this regard, he pointed out that this General Staff will have as a task to strengthen the Humanized Delivery Plan to achieve the goal set annually, in which are carried out approximately 500,000 deliveries every year.
“We need a machinery where the Mission Barrio Adentro is articulated, all feminist movements are articulated, all the power of the ministries for health and women, the people’s power, communes, communal councils, UBCH (Hugo Chávez Battle Units), all the people’s power, the Somos Venezuela movement, and achieve as we must achieve, the attention of 100% of pregnant women in the country”, stressed the National President.
This program, which is part of the policies for the protection of women, entered into force with a national campaign in 2017, which has so far protected more than 31,000 pregnant women and 20,000 nursing mothers.
