President Maduro confirms PDVSA will continue to produce despite US attacks

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said on Friday that the state oil company will continue to produce despite the attacks of the US empire:
“PDVSA will continue producing, selling its product and guaranteeing to the country everything it needs, PDVSA shall overcome”, said the head of state during the closing ceremony of the Latin American Meeting of Local Governments and Participatory Democracy.
Earlier, the US security adviser, John Bolton, said that the north american nation “will continue to tighten the sanctions against oil and its derivatives” until they meet their goals.
In this regard, President Nicolás Maduro asserted that these threats – supported by the Venezuelan right wing – seek to destabilize the country in order to seize political power:
“Venezuela is the most persecuted and blocked country. We are pursued by bank accounts, we cannot buy anything, and they boast of hurting a country. The opposition wants to burn Venezuela, wants to destroy it and block it to reach political power as a result of the tragedy of the nations”, he said.
“They have a fatal obsession against Venezuela, it is a true, macabre obsession against our country. They do not spend a single hour on the problems of the US”, he added.
