Militia and FANB will defend the Homeland against any invading threat

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, called on Monday on the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Bolivarian National Militia to defend the country against any invading threat: “We must prepare to defend every inch of the national territory of the enemies of our Homeland; if some day would they dare to touch a single span, the militia and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces must expel any invading force”.

From the courtyard of the Military Academy in the Paseo Los Próceres, the Head of State in an act with the Bolivarian National Militia, stressed both the FANB and the Militia to have eyes and ears multiplied to see any strange movement of infiltrated paramilitary groups that may be here or there.

He said that, whoever has to take note in Bogotá and Washington, should take note. As the president of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Diosdado Cabello, would say: “It may be that some invading force manages to enter, but what they should know is that they will not come out alive from here, the people will seek them”, he added.

Finally, the National Head of State announced that he will grant this year the special “Niño Jesús” (Baby Jesus) Bonus for the members of the Bolivarian National Militia, for having achieved the goal of reaching 1,600,000 militiamen.
