Maduro remembered César Rengifo, 38 years after his planting

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled this Friday, in his official account on Twitter, that today marks the 38th anniversary of the sowing of the poet, playwright, painter and artist, César Rengifo.

César Rengifo had formal studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Caracas. He had as teachers Marcos Castillo, Rafael Monasterios, Cruz Álvarez García and Antonio Esteban Frías, artists who instructed him in the specialties of drawing, painting and sculpture.

He produced an abundant repertoire of theater pieces, articles and collaborations for different newspapers and for the “Élite” magazine. At least forty stories written and staged, with several unpublished poems, and some essays, were edited by the University of the Andes (1989) in eight volumes that collected his complete work.
