The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, thanked the peoples and governments of the world who have spoken out against the attempt against his life.
Through a message on his account on the Twitter social network, the Venezuelan Head of State assured the country will continue to travel the democratic, independent and socialist path.

The attack was perpetrated on Saturday afternoon during the official ceremony for the 81st anniversary of the GNB (Bolivarian National Guard).
