Venezuela delivered protest note to diplomatic representatives of EU countries

Venezuela on Tuesday delivered a note of protest to diplomatic representatives of European Union (EU) nations in the country, in rejection of the unilateral measures imposed on eleven officials of the Bolivarian Government by the regional bloc on June 25.

In the document, delivered by the Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs for Europe, Yván Gil, at the Casa Amarilla (Yellow House, seat of the Chancellory), in Caracas, it was strongly remarked to the diplomats the profound rejection of these actions contrary to International Law and which demonstrate the subordination of this body to the political interests of the United States Government (USA), as refers a press release.

According to the informative text, the National Executive emphasized that the South American country will maintain its fight in defense of its sovereignty, independence and republic.

In this sense, the Bolivarian Government indicated that the European Union maintains its intention to violate the peace and stability of the country, through these actions that seek to create difficult conditions for the Venezuelan people, and even for the European citizens residing in the South American country.

For this reason, the National Executive urged all member countries of the EU, as well as their institutions, to respect sovereignty and legitimately constituted institutions, while demanding the cessation of hostile policies against the nation.
