National population and housing census in Venezuela will be carried out in 2019

The Vice President for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, reported this Monday that the national census of population and housing in Venezuela, scheduled for 2020, will be advanced in 2019 in order to obtain a baseline that allows the development of each of the goals of the 2025 Homeland Plan.

In this sense, Menéndez pointed out that about 320 indicators were established for the specific follow-up in each of the issues raised related to the economic, social, health, housing, and other sectors.

He indicated that for the 2019 census all the corresponding elements for the current year will be strengthened in order to adapt to the country’s demands “to predict the indicators, to face the economic war and for the correct policies of the Revolutionary Government to roll back that vision of war against our country”.

On the other hand, he announced that the Sectoral Vice-presidency of Planning will promote the updating of the cartographic bases of the large populated centers of Venezuela, in which an unprecedented campaign for the development of the country is focused.

Likewise, work will be carried out in the small towns of indigenous peoples to evaluate the thematic layers of soil and vegetation.
