Ángel Rodríguez, deputy of the Parlasur for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), spoke on Thursday to the session that took place within the Organization of American States (OAS), where once again was evident the defeat of the United States and its intention of interference in Venezuela.
“It was mainly a strident defeat of the US, which used all the mechanisms to try to twist the will, dignity, independence and sovereignty of the peoples of the continent, tried to build a plot with pressures and threats against countries that did not agree with the measure against Venezuela”, he added.
During an interview on the “Al Aire” (On Air) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he explained that it is necessary to continue strengthening the integration mechanisms promoted by the Eternal Leader, Hugo Chávez, with the firm purpose of defending the sovereignty of the peoples of the region.
“We have to see how the political changes that are being generated in the continent can generate a revitalization of the levels of organization that allow the people to feel truly represented”, he explained.
Rodriguez said that the OAS, while it exists, will continue to be a ministry of subordinated countries, which does not work for the people and their welfare.
