Maduro meets with representatives of the Development Bank of Latin America

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, meets Friday with the President of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), Luis Carranza, at Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

The Vice President of the Republic, Tareck El Aissami, the Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza and the Vice President for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, also participate in the meeting.

After being elected as President for the 2019-2025 term with more than 6.2 million votes, Maduro called for a dialogue in the economic area to promote productive development in the country.

The CAF, which has its headquarters in Caracas, was created in 1970 and is made up of 19 countries (17 in Latin America and the Caribbean, plus Spain and Portugal) and 13 private banks in the region. This institution promotes a sustainable model, through credit operations, non-reimbursable resources and support in the technical and financial structuring of projects of the public and private sectors of Latin America.
