President Maduro: The Independence of Venezuela is the most precious asset we have inherited!

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message of greetings to the Venezuelan people through his account in the Facebook social network, regarding the commemoration of the 206 years of the declaration of the independence of Venezuela.

“The Independence of Venezuela is the most precious asset we have inherited!

It is 206 years since the historic date in which the Congress, installed in Caracas, began to sign the Act of Independence of Venezuela. This decision was built thanks to the Patriotic Society, where men such as Francisco de Miranda, Juan Germán Roscio, José Félix Ribas, Vicente Salías and the young Simón Bolívar brought revolutionary ideas that ended breaking the link with Spain and took the definitive step towards freedom.

206 years later we continue in the same battle, in the same struggle for the sovereignty of Venezuela, with the determination of never more be dominated. Long Live Venezuela, Free and Sovereign! ”

In a second message, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) for their performance as guarantors of the country’s sovereignty and peace.

“We congratulate, on this July 5, all the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

In the great challenges being faced by the country today, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces is the guarantor of the peace, sovereignty and integrality of the Venezuelan territory.

Guided by the ideals of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and inspired by the heroic history of great men and women like Antonio Jose de Sucre, Rafael Urdaneta, Juana Ramirez, Pedro Camejo, Ezequiel Zamora and many others, it advances with the new forces they have received from the example of dignity and loyalty to the people taught by our Commander Hugo Chavez.

The four components of the FANB and the Bolivarian Militia, elevate the national tricolor flag to the highest, as a symbol of victory, of an undefeated and liberating People. Long live the FANB! ”

Minutes later, the National Chief Executive communicated again his congratulations to the members of the FANB, through his account in the Twitter social network.
