Samuel Moncada is the new ambassador of Venezuela to the UN

This Tuesday Samuel Moncada was designated through the Official Gazette as the new Ambassador of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), based in New York City, United States.

Moncada is Venezuela’s Ambassador to the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States. He also served as Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela in North America, after serving as Vice Chancellor for Europe.

In 2013, the diplomat assumed the task as Venezuela’s Ambassador to the UN, and also represented the country as Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He was also Minister of Higher Education (2004-2006), and director of the History School of the Central University of Venezuela.
