ANC debates eight laws for the economic counteroffensive

The Commission of Productive and Diversified Economy of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), in permanent session with its five sub-commissions, evaluates and debates eight laws presented by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, with the purpose of promoting the development of an economy diversified in the country, which allows us to overcome oil rent and to meet the needs of the people, said the President of this legislative body, Eduardo Piñate.

“The commission has already started debating those eight laws, we are in the process that leads to its approval and we have been making decisions. Very soon we will take the laws to the plenary, according to the agenda that the ANC board sets, according to the issues we have in light of continuing to consolidate the peace and institutional stability of the country”, he said in an interview held on Monday. in the “Encendidos” (Turned On) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.

Piñate explained that they are reviewing the following instruments: Law of Sovereign Supply and Agreed Prices “Law of Plan-50”, Law of Local Councils of Supply and Production (CLAP), Law for the regulation and operation of exchange houses, Law of the promotion and protection of foreign investment in Venezuela, Law of the tax regime for the sovereign development of the Mining Arc, Law on the taxation of large estates, Law of the special tax regime for the social protection of the people and Law for the creation of the Agro-Alimentary Consortium of the South (Agrosur).

“These laws presented by the Executive branch are tasks that correspond to the ANC and that we are addressing,” he said. He proposed that, in order to combat speculation, joint work between the ANC, the National Executive and organized public power incorporated into this struggle is required, as stated by President Nicolás Maduro. “I am convinced that if the people does not join, it will not be possible.”
