Chancellor Arreaza rejected pronouncement by Macron and Rajoy

The Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza, responded on Tuesday to the pronouncements by the Presidents of France and Spain, Emmanuel Macron and Mariano Rajoy, respectively, describing the policy of both Governments as interventionist.

In his account on Twitter – @jaarreaza – the official described as “arrogant” and “prepotent” the statement by the French Government, which in his opinion “remembers outdated imperial times”.

He rejected that from the Governments of France and Spain it is tried to support the crimes committed by the leaders of the Venezuelan extreme right wing, crimes “condemnable according to the French legislation itself”.

Arreaza considered contradictory that the Spanish Government, “With a record of unemployment and evictions … harassed by the most serious corruption scandals” intends to give lessons of democracy to Venezuela.
