The Council of Electoral Experts in Latin America (CEELA), who accompanied the elections of the National Constituent Assembly held on Sunday in Venezuela, highlighted in their report the strengthening and transparency of the Venezuelan electoral system.
In that sense, the document, read by Nicanor Moscoso, representative of the organization, also points out that the robustness of the voting system is recognized by the electorate in the country, which came out in a massive way to participate in these elections, in which were elected 537 of the 545 constituents, and so he also stressed on the veracity of the results.
The report, which will be submitted to the National Electoral Council (CNE), also reiterates the need for the will of the people who expressed themselves this Sunday (8,089,320 Venezuelans) to be respected.
Consequently, the day should serve to foster dialogue and the concert of all political forces, in the interests of the well-being of citizens and the country.
Likewise, the document explains that prior to the elections, the precepts of the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela were revised, and it was concluded that the call to the ANC by President Nicolás Maduro, made on May 1st, is attached to the legal system.
