Working class has defeated the strike called by the opposition

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the general strike promoted by opposition sectors on Wednesday has been defeated.

“The working class has won a total victory today, in the face of an attempt for an indefinite general strike. (…) The General Staff of the Working Class has given a revolt to the baby-Hitler who called for the civic strike”, said the National President, while stressing that Venezuela will not be stopped by anyone, and that what the country needs is work, study, peace, prosperity and love.

He pointed out that, contrary to the pretensions of the opposition, the country has unleashed a love for the National Constituent Assembly, being this the way to achieve peace, dialogue and democracy.

“The people did not paid attention to the strike, people went out to work, to live, to build. While they want to strike, the people wants to work, while they destroy, we build. The only thing I call for is to work, to peace, solidarity and the National Constituent Assembly to seek solutions to the problems of Venezuelans”, said the Head of State from Miraflores Palace.

The President of the Bolivarian and Socialist Workers Union of Venezuela, Wills Rangel, offered a report to the Head of State, where he emphasized that the activities of the transportation, urban and extra-urban transport system, underground transport system, rail system, ports and airports sectors operated at one hundred percent and in complete normality.
