Inaugurated center of African strategic investigations in Caracas

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Jorge Arreaza, inaugurated on Monday in Caracas, the Institute of Strategic Investigations on Africa and its diaspora, where can be investigated everything related to that country and its roots.
The inauguration was also attended by the Minister for Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, the Vice Minister for Africa, Reinaldo Bolívar, and the people.
“This was a compromise of Commander Hugo Chavez, a compromise that was reached at the Summit of South America and Africa in 2009. We can proudly say that Venezuela is the only country, of all countries that were present there, that has complied with the creation of a strategic research center”, said Arreaza.
This space has more than a thousand titles to be consulted on a library equipped with computers and Internet, as well as a meeting room and a permanent staff of researchers for public consulting.
Likewise, you can consult material on the African musical legacy, and will exhibit pieces obtained from Africa.
“This Centre of African, American and Caribbean Knowledge is ideal to promote exchanges between national spaces, with the chairs on Africa that are in various universities in the country, and is a synergy between the State and the communities. It is the union between People and Government”,  noted the Vice Minister Bolivar meanwhile.
In addition to researching and disseminating information on Africanity, can be developed academic activities in this regard, including graduates and events such as international conferences, film forums, discussions and seminars.
