National President commemorated 25 years of Feb-4 from Paez Barracks


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, arrived Saturday at thePaez Barracks, located in Maracay, Aragua state, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the civil-military rebellion of February 4, 1992.

“We have come to feel the original force of our Commander Chávez, who 25 years ago raised the arms of the country to tell the oligarchy that Simon Bolivar had returned”, said the National President on his arrival at the barracks.

The President reiterated that the lives of social leaders should be devoted to the people. “Our lives must be devoted to our people, and the arms of the Republic next to the people with our Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), which in addition to being anti-imperialist, Bolivarian, Chavista, have declared as deeply anti-oligarchic. Oligarchs, do tremble, Long live the people and the freedom”, he said.

The act of commemoration took place in the Paez Barracks for being an emblematic site for the organization of the rebellion of February 4, 1992.
