Arrested leader of Voluntad Popular had a rifle belonging to the FANB


The Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, reported on Wednesday that the Deputy by the Voluntad Popular party, Gillber Caro, was arrested for fomenting terrorist acts against the peace of the Republic.

He also emphasized that at the time of his arrest he was seized a light automatic rifle (FAL)(, caliber  7.62, belonging to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), which presented a filled serial number, with 20 unfired cartridges, as well as a container box with three bars of a highly explosive plastic known as C-4, which is war material.

He said that the activist was detained in the company of another militant of the Voluntad Popular party adding that he is being guarded by the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN) and “will be punished by the full weight of the law.”
