Delcy Rodriguez: Venezuela will not allow Triple Alliance to break Mercosur integrity

On Wednesday, from Buenos Aires-Argentina, the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that the Triple Alliance Governments attack Venezuela from the Southern Common Market (Mercosur), because they are trying to re-establish the Free Trade Area Of the Americas (FTAA).
“(…) Here in Argentina the FTAA has died, and in here they intend to revive it with anti-juridical devices that seek to suspend Venezuela from Mercosur,” she said.
In this regard, Chancellor Delcy Rodríguez said she will defend Venezuela’s sovereign right in Mercosur and the integrity of the Bloc, in the face of the ceaseless attacks of the so-called Triple Alliance.
“What they want is the disintegration … and we stand firm in the defense of the rights of Venezuela, we are defending the integrity of Mercosur,” said Rodríguez.
In the company of the Chancellor of Bolivia, David Choquehuanca, Chancellor Delcy Rodríguez stated that the Governments of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay – countries that make up the Triple Alliance – commit a serious international infraction “by pretending to ignore the Pro-Tempore Presidency of Venezuela in Mercosur “.
“Through illegality, is being committed a Coup d’Etat within Mercosur, is being attacked the decision of the peoples in the framework of (their) fundamental rights,” said Chancellor Delcy Rodríguez.
It is expected that next Thursday, December 15, will take place a day of direct negotiations in which Venezuela will demonstrate how has been made the compliance with the regulations by its internal legality, and by each of the original Member States.
