The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, participated in the meeting for the National dialogue, from the Alejandro Otero Museum in La Rinconada, Caracas.
Taking the floor, the National President said that dialogue is the only alternative. “We must be optimistic when it comes to peace.”
He emphasized that this is the opportunity “To disarm the hatred, the intolerance, and to open the way to love among Venezuelans. I deeply believe in love as the most powerful weapon for a process of peace “.
During the start of the National dialogue, he said that he extends his hand to the so-called Democratic Unity Board (MUD) in order to talk.
It is noteworthy that, in the meeting for peace, in addition to representatives of the Bolivarian Government and the opposition, is present the envoy from the Vatican, Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, to whom the Head of State thanked for attending the first phase of dialogue, in order to “find the way within the framework of law.”
Are also present the Secretary of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur), Ernesto Samper, the Apostolic Nuncio Aldo Giordano and the President of the Republic of Panama, Martin Torrijos.
Let’s remind that President Maduro made the call to establish a dialogue that allows to block violence and intolerance among Venezuelans.
