Victorious Tour! President Maduro held meeting with UN appointed Secretary General


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, met with the designated Secretary General of the United Nations Organization (UN), Antonio Guterres, in Lisbon, Portugal .
This was announced by the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Ernesto Villegas, through his accounts in the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram social networks, on which he published messages bon which he described the meeting between the Venezuelan President and senior official as cordial.
During the first meeting between the two personalities, the Head of State congratulated Guterres, on behalf of Venezuela and the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM), on his appointment as Secretary General of the UN.
This meeting was the last stop of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela during a four day work tour, on which he visited Azerbaijan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, to consolidate the proposal to stabilize prices on the world oil market. He also met at the Vatican with Pope Francis I, with whom he spoke about the negotiating table for peace in Venezuela, the support to Haiti – as an initiative of the NAM and the G77 + China – and the current situation in Latin America.
