The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, reiterated on Tuesday the disposition of Venezuela to maintain relations of peace, dialogue and respect with other countries, specifically the United States of America
«I wanted, and do want the best relations with Barack Obama, President of the U.S.A., and with whoever may come, that’s what has driven the Bolivarian diplomacy of peace», expressed the Head of State during his program «Contacto con Maduro» (Contact with Maduro), broadcast from Miraflores Palace.
Maduro stressed that our country will not submit to any empire, not even under the worst circumstances, and rejected the interventionist positions. «We do not would deliver the Homeland to any power in the world».
The Venezuelan President referred to the meeting held last Monday in Colombia with the Secretary of State of the United States, John Kerry.
«It was a nice meeting, of respect, fresh, diplomatic, and me, who am a practicing, activist and believing Christian, I ask God that what has already been talked becomes a reality and thus have the best relationships of respect with the US», he said.
He also explained that the diplomacy of peace that promotes the Bolivarian Revolution has allowed Venezuela to preside international organizations such as the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) and the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM), and also to belong to important alliances such as the Security Council of the United Nations (UN).
