The Sectoral Vice President for Defense and Sovereignty, General-in-Chief Vladimir Padrino López, reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) as defenders of the sovereignty and peace of Venezuela. In a communiqué, he expressed the firm «rejection of any attempt at subjugation that threatens the dignity of the people.»
The high-ranking officer emphasized that the FANB remains united and steadfast in the defense of peace and national harmony. Their work, he noted, «is based on universal values of justice, equality, and freedom,» and involves continuous reflection on the importance of combating all forms of supremacism and human exploitation.
In his speech, the Minister of Defense drew a historical parallel, stating that «the spirit of supremacism, of placing oneself above others, are actions that Jesus Christ fought against.» He asserted that practices such as subjugating, enslaving, or oppressing a human being are «unacceptable today.»
Padrino López reflected on the need for nobody feeling superior to any other, calling for «the principle of equality among nations to be prioritized above all else.» This principle is, in his opinion, the basis of international respect.
The concept of sovereignty and the self-determination of peoples were highlighted as inviolable pillars by the Sectoral Vice President. He stressed that these rights must be respected by the international community without exception.
Finally, General-in-Chief Padrino López described the Venezuelan people as a «good people, a people with a profound soul,» whose desire is to work, overcome difficulties, and defend their homeland. His words reaffirm the Bolivarian military doctrine centered on resistance and the defense of national dignity against any form of interference.
