The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed this Monday that the Venezuelan democracy of the 21st century is the most advanced on the planet. Through a message published on his channel on Telegram, the head of state highlighted the qualities of the Venezuelan people as the foundation of this democratic system:
«Yes, we are an educated, cultured, conscious, patriotic, brave, and empowered people whose strength is unparalleled,» expressed the dignitary in his digital communication. He emphasized that these civic characteristics constitute the fundamental pillar of the contemporary Venezuelan democratic model.
President Maduro stressed that the compassion and dignity of the Venezuelan people represent a value superior to any natural resource the nation may possess: “The compassion and dignity of our people are worth more than oil, gold, gas, or any other mineral resource,” he asserted in his message.
He reiterated his conviction that “nothing and no one” can take away from the Venezuelan people “the opportunity to live and be part of the ‘Century of the Peoples.’” This declaration reaffirms his vision of the leading role that citizens must play in national development.
Finally, the Venezuelan president projected that the 21st century will be for the nation “the century of enlightenment, of freedoms, and of definitive independence”. He concluded by reaffirming his confidence in the country’s historical destiny: “Nothing and no one will take away from us the century of the peoples, our century.”
