Announced National Cayapa Operation to support popular consultation of Nov-23

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructed to promote with maximum force the Consultation for Popular Projects on November 23rd. From the Sucre municipality of Miranda state, in the Brisas de Petare sector, he called for a «national operation» to guarantee total success in participation and the selection of projects.

The Venezuelan head of state urged taking advantage of the powerful popular, military, and police mobilization that exists in Venezuela. Along these lines, he requested that the entire military structure, including the four components and the Bolivarian Militia, to be involved «as never before» in the preparation, execution, and development of this popular consultation.

President Maduro asked the sectoral vice presidents to take note of the directive that will mobilize the entire national government from October 29th to November 23rd. The directive includes ministers, institutions, governors, and mayors, placing «all the constitutional power of the country at the service of the profound power, which is the power of the people.»

The President emphasized that this is «a true collective effort between the people, the Armed Forces, and the country’s constitutional political power.» This massive coordination seeks to ensure historic participation in the popular consultation scheduled for Sunday, November 23.

During the discussion with the organized community in the «De cara al río» commune of Petare, the President was accompanied by all the sectoral vice presidents and high-ranking officers of the National Bolivarian Armed Forces (FANB). Also participating were the heads of the Integral Defense Regions (REDI) of Caracas and Miranda, along with community militia members.

This comprehensive mobilization represents the greatest institutional effort to guarantee the success of the popular consultation, consolidating citizen participation in the selection of national development projects through an unprecedented process of coordination between the people and all levels of government.
