Venezuela begins a new stage of peaceful and sovereign struggle

Venezuela has definitively broken with its colonial past to embark on a new stage of struggle. This was stated by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the Extraordinary Congress of the PSUV-JPSUV 2025, marking the beginning of a phase of sovereign development.

The president firmly reaffirmed the Venezuelan people’s unwavering commitment to their dignity and independence: «The people of Venezuela will never be humiliated, will never kneel. We will walk upright, with our heads held high,» he declared to those present.

This new stage is characterized by a multidimensional struggle that encompasses peaceful, cultural, social, ideological, political, electoral, and economic aspects. It is a national effort to consolidate a joint and shared development project.

The head of state recalled that the Bolivarian Revolution has bravely overcome multiple trials throughout its 26-year history. He emphasized that, once underway, the only option is to advance and fight, as retreating into submission is not a viable alternative.

He emphasized that independence, rebel freedom, and the Republic have no alternative: «Or is it an alternative to become colonies, slaves, to humiliate and drag ourselves before the empire? Never,» he declared, making clear the position of his government.

Finally, he reiterated that every year Venezuela has represented a constant construction toward victory, peace, and national unity. This path reaffirms the irreducible character of the Venezuelan people in the face of any attempt at external subjugation.
