During an event in defense of national sovereignty and peace held at the National Assembly, the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro declared that the country is «unassailable» and that no one can violate its integrity.
«There is only one flag that protects us: The yellow, blue, and red. This homeland is indestructible; no one will touch it, let that be clear. Venezuela deserves respect, and whoever does not defend their land and their family does not respect themselves,» Maduro stated before authorities, deputies, and members of the Great Patriotic Pole.
The president emphasized that the meeting symbolizes unity around the principles of self-determination, sovereignty, and peace: «We are here to reclaim the sacred right to decide our destiny, fully exercise our sovereignty, and preserve the peace we have achieved,» he stated.
He also evoked Venezuela’s history of independence, recalling the flag of the First Republic and Bolívar’s leadership in the fight against empires. «Anyone who doesn’t feel Bolívar doesn’t understand this country. They may have Venezuelan documents, but if they don’t value freedom, their soul is empty. This is not the time for political divisions,» he maintained.
Maduro emphasized that the country’s true wealth lies not only in its natural resources, but in its moral and ethical heritage. «Our greatest strength is not oil or gold, but the values left to us by our liberators,» he affirmed, reiterating his rejection of any foreign interference.
He thanked those present for their participation and reaffirmed Venezuela’s democratic and anti-imperialist nature. «This event reflects the unity of the people for sovereignty and peace. We will continue to be free and sovereign, as Bolívar dreamed.»
