President Nicolás Maduro officially created the Secretariat of the Federal Government Council this Wednesday, August 6, an agency that will be under the direction of Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.
This body, conceived as the highest executive coordination body of the State, will have the mission of coordinating public policies between the national government, the regions, and the municipalities.
During a meeting with governors and mayors elected in the recent elections, the mandatary explained that this initiative seeks to strengthen the country’s governability and strategic planning:
«The creation of a body to coordinate regional and municipal governments represents a dream come true. The unity of the National Government is embodied in this secretariat,» stressed Maduro.
The Federal Government Council will be the forum where the projects selected through popular consultations will be analyzed and the work agenda will be defined to promote national development, in line with the objectives of the National Plan of the Seven Transformations.
This measure is part of the government’s strategy to strengthen public management and ensure greater efficiency in the execution of state policies.
