President Nicolás Maduro warned this Wednesday of ongoing conspiracies during the installation of the Federal Government Council (CFG) in Miraflores. Addressing governors, mayors, and governors, he urged them to protect the peace and independence they have achieved, despite destabilization attempts by national and international ultra-right wing sectors.
Maduro announced that Diosdado Cabello will lead a meeting this Thursday to analyze the situation, noting that there are groups seeking to undermine the country’s tranquility:
«There are unhinged people who incite violence; we cannot underestimate them, but we must be prepared to maintain peace and coexistence,» he affirmed before regional and municipal authorities.
The president denounced a destabilizing strategy based on three factors: drug trafficking linked to Colombian Uribe supporters, criminal gangs hired by the radical opposition, and the fascist conspiracy backed by the United States government. He asserted that, although these elements have been controlled, it is crucial not to let our guard down:
«We have achieved peace, with effort and discretion, following the teachings of José Martí. It is an achievement that we must protect day by day,» emphasized Maduro, calling to strengthen citizen security and social harmony plans throughout the entire National Territory.
Quoting Simón Bolívar, he recalled that independence was the supreme value after the fight against the Spanish Empire: «Today, independence and peace are our greatest assets, the foundations that allow us to move forward,» he concluded, highlighting the importance of unity in facing challenges.
