The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, emphasized that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) are the heirs of the Liberation Army and, therefore, a guarantor of independence and patriotism.
In his opening remarks, while leading the Military Promotion Ceremony of the Presidential Honor Guard and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM) which took place this Wednesday, the head of state declared that the month of July is always a time of patriotic reaffirmation, because on the 5th is the date of the birth certificate of the homeland, which was made possible thanks to the sacrifice and blood of soldiers who gave freedom to all of the Americas.
“On July 5th we were born, marked to make history, and we were born and earned the right to exist because the Liberator built a powerful, united, popular army to liberate peoples enslaved for 300 years and in the darkness of colonialism,” he emphasized.
From the theater of the Bolivarian Army Military Academy in Fort Tiuna, Caracas, the National Dignatary reiterated that Venezuelans are heirs to a more powerful Liberation Army, that was never known before:
“We are heirs to that army, to its power and spiritual strength. And I am inspired by that strength to authorize and proceed with granting the next higher rank you have earned,” he stated, reiterating that each member of the Venezuelan military has demonstrated merit, sacrifice, and patriotic struggle.
