The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed the importance of strengthening the instruments of popular-military-police cooperation to prevent the territory from becoming a playground for the mafia, drug trafficking, and violence.
In the state of Zulia, in the words of the Venezuelan dignitary, the election of Governor-elect Luis Caldera seeks to consolidate an administration that will free the region from crime and restore the social peace its people demand.
President Maduro firmly stated: «A firm hand against crime and criminality so that we can all live in peace. Only with the union of popular, military, and police forces will we achieve that Zulia state becomes a free territory, where dignity and justice prevail over violence.»
Support for the Argentine People:
The President also expressed his support for former Argentine President Cristina Fernández, who is the victim of a judicial attack seeking to destabilize popular leadership in Latin America. From Venezuela, he sent a message of support and solidarity, reaffirming Bolivarian friendship and the people’s resistance against coups and foreign interventions.
Alert against the Right-Wing Agenda:
The President analyzed the international situation, denouncing the actions of the right wing that are attempting to impose mafia-like and coup-mongering leadership in the region. He recalled the recent allegations of electoral fraud in Ecuador, the coup attempts in Brazil against President Lula, and the assassination threats. He urged Venezuela to remain vigilant, safeguarding peace and stability, which are essential for continuing economic recovery and projecting a path of sovereignty, Christian socialism, and social justice in the 21st century.
