Diosdado Cabello after victory of May 25: The opposition keeps seeking to disrupt the country’s peace

The secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, led the swearing-in ceremony this Wednesday for the governor of Monagas state, Ernesto Luna, who was elected in the regional elections held on May 25.

He noted that after the Revolution’s new victory, the right wing continues seeking to disrupt the country’s peace, while emphasizing that the unity of the entire people can defeat the terrorists.

«The numbers are there; if others don’t want to recognize them, that’s their problem,» he added in his speech.

He indicated that, under a set of clear goals, working hand in hand with President Nicolás Maduro, Monagas state with Ernesto Luna will bring in the minority who did not vote in the elections to convince them to side with the revolution. They will also relaunch the 1X10 (system of good Government) and the Bricomiles (Community and Military Brigades), strengthen the self-government chambers and the new project and management method, as well as grassroots organization, to make things easier within a single level of government.

Among the guidelines, he emphasized that the Missions and Great Missions must be aligned to serve the most needy, as well as strengthen the real and productive economy in each state and attack «what remains of the damage caused by the economic war.»

As a fifth point, he explained that there must be consolidated the fight for peace and justice against drug trafficking, corruption, and terrorism.

In an aside, he warned that they will target criminal and terrorist gangs that seek to harm the country.

He emphasized that new elections will be held across the country on July 27 to elect mayors and council members for the municipalities of the 24 states.
