Was activated Hydrocarbons Sector Situational Control and Monitoring Room

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, activated this Friday the Situational Control and Monitoring Room of the Ministry of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons through a simultaneous videoconference.

The event allows the national leader to monitor the progress of the aforementioned ministry’s Absolute Independence Production Plan, which «is progressing smoothly and incentivizes work and production for the entire country.»

Among the executive branch authorities participating in the videoconference are the board of directors of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), as well as representatives of seven joint ventures affected by Unilateral Coercive Measures (UCM), and the Minister of People’s Power for Hydrocarbons and Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

«In this control and monitoring room, we have a view of productive activity. The plan you ordered, and we have good news for the country… the Hydrocarbon Production Plan continues its course, without any kind of change, with the effort and inventiveness of the workers,» stated Rodríguez.

The Absolute Productive Independence Plan was created by the Bolivarian Government as a strategy to address US President Donald Trump’s decision to reverse Venezuelan oil concessions and to ensure the hydrocarbon industry continues its stable and diversified recovery.

Venezuela advances toward productive sovereignty:

During the simultaneous videoconference, President Maduro highlighted the country’s resilience in the face of unilateral coercive measures imposed by sectors of the Venezuelan opposition in alliance with foreign nations:

«Our philosophy is clear: sovereign production through our own efforts. We have learned from the harshest and most difficult times, when the fascist far right requested sanctions that fell like missiles on the Venezuelan hydrocarbon industry. This learning has led us to have greater strength today from a technical, labor, scientific, and all-around perspective, to not only sustain production through our own efforts, but also to grow in a sustained and sustainable manner,» as stated the head of state.

In this regard, the national leader sent a message of confidence to international investors, assuring them that Venezuela offers all the guarantees for investment and the development of productive projects.

«To international investors, all the guarantees. We are serious, legal, institutional people. There are no adventurers here, in the worst sense of the word adventurers. There are people of the State here, and we are very committed to full compliance with what was agreed and signed, with all contractual obligations,» he emphasized.

Maduro emphasized that the National Government’s objective is to advance toward economic independence, rejecting any attempt at interference or domination:

«No one will stop Venezuela, neither threats, nor measures, nor licenses. Venezuela does not depend on licenses to breathe, to live, to walk, to exist. Venezuela is free of licenses, threats, and coercion, and freedom is achieved through creative, productive, and permanent work,» he argued.

Finally, he extended an invitation to investors from around the world: «Whoever wants to come and invest knows that here there are people of their word, serious, and who also know how to work… We have a working class that is world-class,» he asserted.
