The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the resounding electoral victory with the people in Caracas’s Plaza Bolívar (Bolivar Square).
He congratulated all Venezuelans for their participation in the National and Regional Assembly elections and highlighted the importance of the victory, which represented a resounding defeat for the fascist right wing:
«It is the victory of peace and stability for the entire Venezuela. The victory belongs to those of us who love this country, for the future of this youth that is rising up full of dreams and hope. After 32 elections, sanctions, looting and violence, today the Bolivarian Revolution is stronger and more vibrant. We have demonstrated the power of the Chavismo and Bolivarianism of the 21st-century«, he stated.
The President acknowledged the victory of the governor of Cojedes state: «I want to acknowledge the victory of the governor of Cojedes, an opposition leader who has defeated us in the plains zone. I will call him to put myself available, I extend my hands so we can work together.»
The President asked the Minister for Interior relations, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, to hold a press conference to explain in detail the scope of the terrorist operation dismantled before the elections.
Likewise, he expressed his joy because the people has elected the first Governor of Guayana Esequiba: «Essequibo has a governor: Admiral Villamizar, and this governor elected by the people, will have full budgetary support because the people of Essequibo earned it, so that they may have all the rights as the people of Venezuela.»
The president announced that the 7 Transformations Plan will be published this Monday as an Organic Law, and as promised, the 10 Communal Districts with the most votes will be awarded with any needed public works.
