In order to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Russia, the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met with Ambassador Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov to review strategic alliances and explore new opportunities in the areas of energy, economic, and social sovereignty.
During a message on his social media, Gil emphasized that this meeting is under the directives of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, of mutual cooperation and international multilateralism of a strategic nature for the construction of an emerging polycentric world order.
Both nations maintain commercial, economic, and cultural ties, as well as a broad legal framework (more than 200 instruments).
Russia and Venezuela continuously develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of energy, industry, trade, transportation, agriculture, education and science, culture, as well as in the military-technical and financial spheres.
