The new wave of unilateral coercive measures by the United States against Venezuela are intended to create the conditions for a civil war on Venezuelan territory. This statement in question was issued by the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the Bolivarian Militia, which was celebrated in the 23 de Enero parish of Caracas, as part of the Great Mission Negro Primero.
He accused that the new sanctions against Venezuela “were aimed at undermining the morale of the Venezuelan people in order to force us to fight a fratricidal war, to force us to fight a civil war against ourselves, to divide us and fight each other, and, most seriously, to sell the Essequibo, as a spoil of war. We will fight tooth and nail in every arena,» he vowed regarding Venezuelan sovereign territory.
He also congratulated the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for their presence in the maritime spaces of Venezuela’s Atlantic coast, which guarantees the free exercise of the right to navigation: «We are moving into a world where there is no law, where, unfortunately, multilateralism is collapsing, fading, and institutions like the UN are vanishing,» warned the military leader, who also warned of the development of a multifaceted war, exacerbated by the current war waged by Washington.
He also asserted that there is a huge risk of a future conflict between the US and China due to the collapse of the American power and its reluctance to relinquish its hegemony: «They are two great colossi that are there vying for the new reconfiguration of the new world order, which is paving the way for a multipolar world,» he stated. «We are living in a turbulent and distorted world that requires attention from all of us,» he concluded.
